The case

Flint Group: [[Smarter Ink Handling]]

Flint Group manufactures ink in Europe for customers in Australia. With such long shipping distances, the company needed a way to protect ink quality and simplify delivery.

The why

Their needs

Traditional tank shipments required ink to be transferred into totes before reaching customers. Flint Group wanted to remove that handling step, while giving customers discharge equipment suited to their existing processes.

The how

Their
[[Solution.]]

For well over a decade, Flint Group has filled one-way Fluid-Bags with ink at its European production site and shipped them directly to customers in Australia. Squeeze Solution has also developed tailored discharge systems for use at customer sites.

Fewer handling steps

Shipping in Fluid-Bags removes the transfer from tanks into totes. Because the bags are one-way, there are no empty containers to return.

Clean, controlled discharge

The closed system helps protect the ink from filling through to discharge. Tailored equipment gives customers control over how ink is emptied at their sites.

Less product waste

Discharge Rollers help empty the flexible bags thoroughly, allowing customers to recover more usable ink and minimise residue.

The output

“Flint Group changed over to Squeeze Solution and Fluid-Bags to save one step in the logistics chain.”
